Jesse Lambert was born in the peace country. After leaving for a time, he couldn't help but come back, making Fort St. John home to his family and business.

Jesse named his company after his late grandfather, John Danahy, who inspired him to start metal working in the first place. He was a man of few words, and even fewer compliments, but when he was overheard boasting about a knife Jesse had made him as a child, Jesse knew this was what he wanted to do. It took some time, but now all these years later, Jesse has made making knives his full time business.
